Thank you, dear – I like that they are flawed, I wouldn’t enjoy the series half as much if they were too nice. I’m glad they aren’t as flawed as – say – Adrien English, though!!

That’s a fun review. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a book compared with a burlesque dancer. But you’re dead-on.
It’s funny how real characters become to you when you follow them through a series of books, and this is one of the most real I think I’ve read. It’s a whole, vivid inviting world Charlie created and it feels like a real place I keep being transported back to with each new book.

Aw, thank you so much.

You know, I think you understand my characters better than I do. If anyone had said to me ‘describe Jonty’ I’d never have mentioned the temper and yet he’s always had one (quick to flare up, quick to calm down) without me really consciously making it so.

You’re also incredibly perceptive about all the dark areas these boys have in their lives. It certainly isn’t all hearts and flowers.
